Croydon tram drivers' fatigue warnings must be investigated

As concerning reports emerge that Croydon tram drivers had raised concerns about their shift patterns disrupting sleep, two years before the fatal accident in November 2016, Caroline Pidgeon has tabled a written question to the Mayor to demand a full answer.

Met should end perk of expensive flats for senior police officers

As the consultation over the Mayor’s plans to close and sell off police stations across London comes to an end, a call has been made for the Mayor to first examine the continuing practice of senior police officers being offered free accommodation in expensive flats.

Success of the Hopper ticket shows need for Mayor to pinch more fare policies from his opponents

Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat London Assembly Member, commenting on the forthcoming first anniversary of the Hopper ticket and the news that over one hundred million journeys have been made with the Hopper bus ticket said:

"I have been campaigning for a One Hour Bus Ticket for the best part of a decade in London so I very much welcome the success of the Hopper ticket over the last year.

Mayor's policing consultation is shambolic

Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat London Assembly Member and Member of the London Assembly Police and Crime Committee, described the Mayor’s consultation on Met Police Services as ‘shambolic’ after the details of important public meetings were finally published - almost eight weeks after the consultation started.

Caroline, who has been chasing the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime for the details of the public meetings for some time, commented:

“The Mayor should be ashamed of this shambolic consultation process.

No excuses for repeating Piccadilly line misery
