"Lost" Oyster balances should be reinvested into improving transport

Caroline Pidgeon has called on Transport for London to change rules its rules so that unused and unclaimed balances on Oyster cards can be reinvested into London’s public transport network.

Information requested by Caroline shows that £180 million currently sits on Oyster cards that were last used five or more years ago. £57 million of this is on cards last used more than 10 years ago.

Met's plan on violence against women and girls needs more work

Caroline Pidgeon has responded to the Metropolitan Police's draft action plan on Violence Against Women and Girls, arguing that it needs a stronger focus on ethnic minority women, children and online grooming.

Caroline said:

"I welcome the recommendations made in the draft Violence Against Women and Girls Action Plan from the Metropolitan Police. I particularly am pleased that it recognises that cultural change is needed within the service to protect women and girls
