Campaigning in Sudbury

Campaigning with Brent Liberal DemocratsCaroline had a great campaigning trip to Sudbury on 19th February, supporting Anton Georgiou, Paul Lorber and the Brent Liberal Democrat team.

There was lots of recognition for how hard Brent Lib Dems work to keep residents informed on local issues.

Campaigning in Alperton

Caroline spent a great morning in Alperton with Cllr Anton Georgiou and Brent Liberal Democrats, talking to local residents and getting an update on the issues in the area, including the desperate need for step-free access at the station.

Caroline had a fantastic morning supporting Lib Dem candidate Anton Georgiou for the Alperton by-election on 23rd January, along with Siobhan Benita, former Brent councillors Daniel Brown, Paul Lorber and Bob Wharton, and many other activists. With his passion and commitment Anton will make a superb councillor for the area!

Campaigning in West Hampstead

Caroline had a great canvassing session in West Hampstead with Matt Sanders and the local Lib Dem team. The positive energy and responses on the door were infectious!

Supporting Brent Lib Dems in Queen's Park

On a beautiful sunny day, Caroline joined Queen's Park ward Lib Dem candidates Hussain Khan, Virginia Bonham-Carter and Deborah Unger, and a big team of activists.

It was concerning to hear the problems local businesses have with rising crime, and clear that we need more police on our streets.

Mayor must now come clean over plans for Night Buses

Caroline Pidgeon AM, Liberal Democrat London Assembly transport spokesperson, commenting on the announcement that the launch of the Night Tube has been deferred, said:

"This is a big climb down for the Mayor. His retreat is entirely due to his error in setting a specific start date before all the staffing arrangements and other issues had been settled.

"By pushing for a set start date the Mayor strengthened the union’s negotiating position.
