Network Rail and TfL need to explain further disruption for Gospel Oak-Barking passengers

As Transport for London announced that the London Overground line between Gospel Oak and Barking will now reopen to passengers on Monday 27 February, but that the installation of all of the overhead wires has not been completed on time and more work is required, Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat London Assembly Member, criticised the way the work has been executed and communicated:

“The fault for these delays rests with some appalling errors made by Network Rail, who have many questions to now answer.

Helping the team in Haringey

Caroline Pidgeon AM was delighted to support Karen Alexander in the recent Harringay ward by-election in Haringey borough.

Karen was a fantastic Councillor previously for the area and Caroline worked closely with her on transport issues.

Caroline joined Lib Dem councillors and campaigners on the doors to support Karen on 28th July.

Knocking on Doors in Haringey on Eve of Poll

Caroline joined the Haringey Lib Dems out on the door steps on eve of poll. They were joined by Lib Dem London Assembly candidate Dawn Barnes and Baroness (Claire) Tyler of Enfield.

They had a great response from local residents who were very keen to talk about the Mayoral and London Assembly elections, and there was a lot of support for Caroline’s Half Price Fares before Half Past Seven campaign.

Out and about in Haringey

Caroline Pidgeon went out campaigning with local Lib Dem campaigners in Crouch End to speak to local residents. She was joined by local London Assembly Lib Dem candidate for Enfield and Haringey Nicholas da Costa and campaigner Dawn Barnes. They received a great response on the doorstep.

Campaigning to save Muswell Hill Library

Caroline Pidgeon has been in Haringey to meet with local Liberal Democrat councillors who have uncovered a report that reveals the Labour-run council are considering moving Muswell Hill Library to a new location with library space taken up by customer services.

The Lib Dems are campaigning to keep Muswell Hill Library in the current historic, listed building in the heart of Muswell Hill.

Campaigning in Haringey

Caroline Pidgeon AM joined local councillors and Assembly Candidate Dawn Barnes in Haringey on Friday 22nd January looking at a number of issues in the Borough.

From campaigning to save local pubs, libraries and post offices to supporting Caroline's campaign for half price fares by 7.30am, the team went out and about talking to local residents.

Mayor must now come clean over plans for Night Buses

Caroline Pidgeon AM, Liberal Democrat London Assembly transport spokesperson, commenting on the announcement that the launch of the Night Tube has been deferred, said:

"This is a big climb down for the Mayor. His retreat is entirely due to his error in setting a specific start date before all the staffing arrangements and other issues had been settled.

"By pushing for a set start date the Mayor strengthened the union’s negotiating position.
