Ticket offices at train stations must remain open

Caroline has submitted a response to the consultation organised by London TravelWatch about the proposals to close ticket offices at train stations.

Caroline said:

I object to the closure of the ticket offices and consider it crucial that no staff are removed from any stations. Stations need to be staffed from first train to last train.

Disabled people and other vulnerable groups, such as digitally excluded people, are the groups within our community most likely to be negatively impacted by the closure of the ticket offices. The Liberal Democrat group recognises the complexities of the challenges faced by train companies, but does not support the proposals and urges them to reconsider.
