Writing for the Disability Talk website, Caroline Pidgeon sets out her record of taking action as an Assembly member for disabled people, and focuses on her policy priorities as Mayoral candidate - in transport, housing, employment opportunities, and the take-up of benefits.
The London Assembly has requested that Transport for London (TfL) fully recover any public money allocated to the Garden Bridge project. The Assembly also agreed a motion calling for the Mayor to promptly answer all Mayoral Questions relating to the Garden Bridge procurement process.
Caroline Pidgeon, who proposed the motion, said:

Tube delays caused by overcrowding have soared in the last two years new figures obtained by Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat London Assembly transport spokesperson have revealed.
Caroline Pidgeon, commenting on the figures she obtained from the Mayor of London said:
“These figures demonstrate that improvements to the Tube are in some cases not even keeping up with the rising demand for travel created by London’s booming population and record number of tourists.
Transport for London has agreed to carry out a major survey of transport needs on the Rotherhithe peninsula after a long-running campaign by local residents, supported by local Liberal Democrat campaigners.
Passengers have complained for years about long waits, overcrowding and journeys being terminated before their final destination to ‘improve frequency’. Their concerns have been backed by local Liberal Democrats on the council and at City Hall.
