Talking to Dulwich residents

Caroline Pidgeon joined local Lib Dem London Assembly candidate for Lambeth and Southwark Michael Bukola out in Dulwich to speak to local residents about local issues and the upcoming EU referendum. Michael was born in Peckham and is a well known campaigner in the local area for better housing for Londoners and improving air quality.

Speaking to local residents in Barking about policing

Caroline Pidgeon went door knocking in Upney in the Borough of Barking with local Lib Dem London Assembly candidate Elaine Bagshaw. Crime was the biggest issue that came up on the door step. If elected, the Lib Dems would increase police numbers in our neighbourhoods to keep London safe.

Campaigning in Merton

Caroline Pidgeon went out campaigning in Merton with local Lib Dem London Assembly candidate Adrian Hyyrylainen-Trett. They spent time knocking on doors with a petition for step-free access at Raynes Park, and then went on to Wimbledon to speak with local people about Crossrail 2.

Make Upminster station accessible for everyone

Caroline Pidgeon has given her strong support to local campaigners calling for full disabled access at Upminster station.

Caroline said:

“The London Overground is a vital part of London’s transport network and it is vital that no one is denied access to it.

“Providing step free access to platform six at Upminster station would not just benefit disabled people but many other people as well, including parents with prams.

Campaigning in Haringey

Caroline Pidgeon AM joined local councillors and Assembly Candidate Dawn Barnes in Haringey on Friday 22nd January looking at a number of issues in the Borough.

From campaigning to save local pubs, libraries and post offices to supporting Caroline's campaign for half price fares by 7.30am, the team went out and about talking to local residents.


Lib Dems arrange a tube demo to persuade TFL to upgrade the Piccadilly Line

Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat Mayoral candidate, held a demo outside Turnham Green tube station with local councillors and residents to get TFL to upgrade the Piccadilly Line signal sooner. This would mean that tubes could stop there throughout the day (usually only the District line stops there).

Campaigning in Kew

Caroline Pidgeon AM joined Assembly candidates Merlene Emerson and Rosina Robson and local members at a street stall in Kew on 6th February. The team talked to local residents about concerns from Heathrow expansion to transport and affordable housing.

Out and about in Hammersmith and Fulham

Caroline Pidgeon AM joined local Liberal Democrats in Hammersmith and Fulham at a street stall on 13th February.

Caroline joined local members talking to local residents about the housing crisis and also about her plans for half price fares by half seven.

Out and about in Walworth

Caroline Pidgeon has been out and about in Walworth over recent weeks supporting candidate Lauren Pemberton-Nelson in the Faraday by-election due on 21st January.

Lauren lived on the Aylesbury Estate for most of her life so knows first-hand the issues that need to be addressed. No one should have to live in accommodation with rats, litter, lifts that go unrepaired and heating that won't turn on in the depths of winter. Lauren's campaign is a personal one - she believes Faraday residents, her Nan included, deserve better.
