Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat Mayoral candidate, held a demo outside Turnham Green tube station with local councillors and residents to get TFL to upgrade the Piccadilly Line signal sooner. This would mean that tubes could stop there throughout the day (usually only the District line stops there).
Caroline said:
"I have visited Southfield many times over the past ten years and there clearly need to be improvements made to the Piccadilly line. An all-day service is essential for this busy tube line going to and from Heathrow, as well as more trains. London Liberal Democrats believe that Transport for London needs to improve the signalling as soon as possible so this can happen."
