Campaigning for better air quality on Putney High Street

Caroline went to Putney High Street with local Lib Dem London Assembly candidate for Merton and Wandsworth Adrian Hyyrylainen-Trett to campaign for better air quality.

Putney High Street was recently named by the Evening Standard this week as the number one worst spot in London for harmful nitrogen oxide readings for 2016 so far.

Caroline said:

"Nowhere near enough has been done over the last eight years by Boris and his Conservative team to tackle London’s poor air quality.

We are now in a situation where many areas right across London have alarming levels of nitrogen oxides and particulate matter which is dangerous to our health, especially for the more vulnerable such as children and the elderly. If elected, I will make improving London’s air quality a top priority."
