City Airport expansion is bad for the environment and local residents

Caroline visited London City Airport and the surrounding area with Siobhan Benita, Richard Flowers, Chris Maines and Michael Fox to support the Stop City Airport campaign, against expansion, spearheaded by the excellent Alan Houghton. Not only would the expansion impact on local air quality and noise pollution, but we have to consider the impact encouraging more people to fly will have on our wider climate as we try to tackle climate change.

Speaking to local residents it is clear that this is not wanted, and Caroline has expressed her deep concerns in response to the consultation on the airport's plans for expansion.
