Supporting Black Lives Matter in the London Assembly

Caroline was proud to speak in support of the motion on Black Lives Matter and stamping out racism in the London Assembly.

Caroline stressed the need for all Assembly Members to work together and to focus on action:

Action is needed, not just reviews.

We need to look, through our committee work, again at the record of things like stop and search in London; we need to look again at the use of facial recognition technology by the Met.

We need to be looking at the diversity of our workforce, of the Met and all the other organisations across the GLA group, and we need to be looking at things like the impact of air pollution on particular communities in London.

Let us all get together, act straight away and work on these issues to improves the lives of BAME Londoners.
