We need tough action on the cladding and fire safety scandal

In Mayor's Question Time, Caroline focused on the cladding and fire safety scandal, asking the Mayor to look at holding back funding from housing providers who aren’t taking enough action to protect tenants, leaseholders and shared owners. We need tough action on this.

Caroline also urged the Mayor to look at trialling a public register of fire risk assessments in London so that would-be leaseholders and renters have access to key information about their building’s safety – as well as questioning what is being done to support those in buildings under 18m tall, who currently have no access to Government funding at all.
