London must ensure EU citizens can be confident of their right to remain

In the London Assembly, Caroline Pidgeon spoke up for the rights of EU citizens living in London, and stressed the importance for them of having tangible proof of their right to live in the UK.

Caroline said:

EU citizens help make London the great city it is.

The Government should automatically grant EU Citizens in the UK the right to remain and provide physical proof of this too. And if the Government refuses to provide physical proof, we should do it here in London.

Caroline has written to the Mayor asking him to join the campaign, and to use the resources at his disposal to provide EU citizens in London with a physical card proving their status.
