Time has run out for excuses on Thameslink's dismal service

Caroline Pidgeon has written to the CEO of Govia Thameslink Railway, calling for the cuts to Thameslink services to be reversed and the service to be restored to the frequency that is already being achieved on other rail lines.

Caroline commented:

Thameslink's timetable has been significantly reduced during August, yet passengers are still facing last-minute cancellations.

COVID and staff isolating are challenges facing all train companies, but it seems no other train company has cut back services as much as Thameslink's operator GTR.

The time for excuses for such a dismal service has long passed. A restored service within days is vital.
