Caroline spoke to BBC Radio London about the Metropolitan Police's lack of action on burglaries.
Caroline said:
in London last year, 37726 burglaries were reported and yet in one in three, the police don't even bother to turn up to see what's happened and to suport you. I think that's astonishing because that's when you feel most vulnerable.
The police must turn up to every burglary that they're made aware of. The Lib Dems are calling for a new Burglary Response Guarantee, making sure there is a duty on every police service up and down the country to turn up to somebody's home and that they will visit, they will support the victim of the crime and make sure it's properly investigated.
