Cllr Nick Stanton, Lib Dem Leader of Southwark Council joined Caroline and Lib Dem Leadership Candidate Chris Huhne MP on a visit to the new Salmon Youth Centre in Bermondsey. The team looked at the different facilities on offer, including the climbing wall on the roof, and the environmental green roof to the sports hall.
“The last time I visited the Salmon Youth Centre it was still very much a building site. It was fantastic to see the almost finished building and to see a local school using the sports facilities. The Salmon Centre sets a new high standard for youth centres across the country” said Cllr Caroline Pidgeon.
After the visit, Chris Huhne MP met Anood Al-Samerai, Lib Dem candidate in the forthcoming Riverside by-election, backing her campaign to become a hard working councillor for this part of Bermondsey.
