Caroline had a really useful site visit to Haringey, looking at how to make the area safer for pedestrians in Fortis Green area with Councillor Dawn Barnes and officers from TfL and the council.
At Mayor's Question Time, Caroline pressed the Mayor on the issue of noise levels on the Tube. At the worst hotspots – such as South Wimbledon and Canning Town – passengers are subjected to the equivalent of a rock concert or a plane coming in to land.
In Mayor's Question Time for December 2022, Caroline raised the issue of the Dial-a-Ride service ending early in the evenings, preventing older and disabled Londoners from being able to spend a proper night out.
Caroline Pidgeon has written to the Secretary of State for Culture, calling for the Arts Council to reverse its decision to remove funding from the English National Opera if it does not move out of London.

Caroline Pidgeon AM has written to the Director General of the BBC, expressing serious concern at the proposed cuts to BBC Radio London which will greatly reduce local news coverage at evenings and weekends.

"It seems short-sighted to reduce local radio programming when you claim commitment to what will be left of the BBC's local offer. The less local content, the less relevant the station, and the less reason there is for listeners to engage. ...
Caroline was delighted to be invited to speak at Croydon Liberal Democrats' Winter Warmer dinner. It was great to talk about City Hall life, and catch up with so many members.
Caroline's questions to the Mayor on the Metropolitan Police's response times for "lower urgency" 999 calls have shown that Londoners wait on average 3 hours, when the police should respond within 60 minutes – and in some boroughs, the wait is a lot longer.

It has been the greatest honour to have been elected for the last 24 years in London, the last 14 as one of your London Assembly Members – indeed for 5 years as our only Assembly Member.
Caroline Pidgeon has responded to Transport for London on their plans for improving cycling safety at Holborn Gyratory – currently one of London's most dangerous junctions.
In consultation with the London Cycling Campaign and others, Caroline broadly welcomed the proposals as a significant improvement, while highlighting a few areas that still require attention to ensure a safe enviroment is delivered.
Caroline joined Southwark Liberal Democrats for their AGM, and spoke to members about how to improve the Metropolitan Police, and the campaign to save South London's bus services.
Caroline Pidgeon has written to Newham Council, strongly opposing the licence application for a floating nightclub on the Thames, as a serious noise nuisance to residents all along the river, a threat to the Thames's ecosystem, and a precedent for more disruptive super-yachts.
"It is unconscionable that this application should be approved", said Caroline.
Caroline joined Lib Dem party president Mark Pack at a meeting with Bromley Liberal Democrats. It was a great evening with plenty of discussion about the issues London is facing.
The London Assembly's Oversight Committee, chaired by Caroline Pidgeon, has recommended tougher rules requiring the Mayor and assembly members to declare potential conflicts of interest - in the light of allegations that Boris Johnson gave preferential treatment to Jennifer Arcuri.

Caroline joined Cllr Matthew Bryant and Lib Dem campaigners Alex Davies and Julian Heather to meet Transport for London and local residents on Streatham High Road, looking at plans for changing pedestrian crossings.
It was a good meeting with lots of input and strong feelings about alternative ideas.
Caroline has responded to London City Airport's ongoing consultation, voicing strong concerns over their proposals to create additional passenger capacity and extend their operations at weekends.

Londoners should not pay with peace and quiet for shortcomings in London City Airport's business model. The Liberal Democrat Group remains opposed to any expansion or changes in hours or operation at LCA.
Caroline Pidgeon has written to TfL, formally responding to their consultation on extending the Ultra-Low Emissions Zone to become Londonwide.

This policy must go hand in hand with a wide-ranging scrappage scheme including mobility credits and a comprehensive package of investment in public transport in outer London.
