Campaigning in Richmond against Heathrow expansion

Caroline spent a morning in Richmond town center, and at Kew station, on Easter Saturday getting signatures against a third runway at Heathrow and talking to local residents about transport tissues with Munira Wilson our local candidate and Brian Paddick, as well as other local activists such as Robin Meltzer, Shas Sheehan and Cllr Stephen Knight.

Lib Dems to create Youth Hubs funded by banks and luxury hotel guests

Launching the Lib Dem manifesto for the London elections in May with mayoral candidate Brian Paddick, Caroline Pidgeon highlighted the Lib Dems' plans to create Youth Hubs across London:
"Our Youth Hubs plan is one part of the London Liberal Democrats' positive vision for London.

“We have radical plans to tackle the big issues facing Londoners, from crime to housing, transport to jobs.

“A vote for the London Liberal Democrats is a vote for keeping fares low, tackling unemployment and building thousands of new homes.

Brian Paddick announces Duwayne Brooks as Deputy Mayor for Youth and Communities

London Liberal Democrat Mayoral candidate Brian Paddick has today announced Duwayne Brooks as his candidate for Deputy Mayor for Youth and Communities - along with Caroline Pidgeon as his candidate for statutory Deputy Mayor.

The position would involve Duwayne working closely with communities and young people in London, listening and engaging with them and reporting back to the Mayor, offering advice and delivering projects beneficial to both groups.

Canvassing in Islington

Caroline joined a huge team of activists out in the sun on Sunday knocking on doors in Islington. The team included Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP and Bridget Fox.

“We had a great reception from local people and enjoyed the support of a team of Romanian Liberal Party members as well as many Islington and London activists” commented Caroline.
