Local Lib Dems demand action from TfL over Rotherhithe bus overcrowding

Local Liberal Democrats are campaigning to reduce overcrowding on the 381 and C10 bus services in Rotherhithe.

Surrey Docks Lib Dem councillors last year campaigned for TfL to introduce a rail replacement bus service between Canada Water and Rotherhithe stations that would stop to pick up passengers along the route. TfL agreed to the replacement bus, but have angered local residents by refusing to collect passengers between the two stations.

Save the Common!

Streatham residents have been shocked by plans from Wandsworth Council to build up to 12 hard surface, fenced off, football pitches on Tooting Bec Common.

Wandsworth are proposing to tarmac over green open space by the railway line on the Common to build a private development of flood lit, all weather five-a-side football pitches. In addition the Triangle Playground on the Common by Cavendish Road still needs replacing.
